THE AMBITIOUS MOTHER

We were told we could have it all.  Who tf thought that was real?

A therapy group for high-functioning mothers navigating career, identity, and the psychological weight of modern motherhood.

April + may 2026

You did all the things you were supposed to. You went to college, girlbossed, built a career, became an independent woman, traveled, leaned in, yada yada.

And then you became a mother, and things got weird.

So many millennial mothers find themselves caught in an impossible bind: we’re expected (by both ourselves and the world) to remain ambitious, productive, and professionally engaged while simultaneously performing a version of motherhood that is more intensive, consuming, and isolating than any generation before us.

The result is that we are f’ing losing it - and consumed by an exhausting combo of ambition, guilt, burnout, and identity confusion.

This small-group experience is for women who are ready to explore these tensions honestly, intelligently, and with humor, and to start building a sustainable relationship with ambition, identity, and motherhood.

If you’ve ever felt completely convinced that it is entirely impossible to “have it all” - you are in the right place. Millennial women were raised to build expansive lives, but then expected to completely shrink as soon as motherhood arrived.

Who This Group is For

  • Millennial mothers navigating professional ambition alongside modern motherhood

  • High-achieving, over-functioning women ready to understand and reset internal tension

  • Women looking for community, practical tools, and smart conversation with other smart women, not fluff, toxic positivity, unsolicited advise-giving or judgment

  • Anyone tired of living the way you are and ready for real-world solutions grounded in psychology and lived experience

Here’s a little secret: being a modern mom is hard no matter what, but that doesn’t mean you have to be constantly overwhelmed with intolerable stress and feeling that your life is out of control.

Postpartum Power Moves is here to support you. Let’s explore how the program will give you the insight, tools and community support you need to build an emotionally resilient motherhood experience for yourself.

What You’ll Get

  • Understand the psychological and cultural forces shaping your experience of ambition, guilt, and burnout.

  • Reconnect with your identity beyond productivity or caregiving.

  • Practice nervous system and embodiment tools that help you reset in real time — not just “self-care tips.”

  • Learn communication strategies to ask for support at home and work.

  • Build community with women who actually get it, sharing insight, accountability, and empathy.

  • Leave each session with an actionable tool you can apply immediately in your life — no homework, just real results.

Created by a perinatal psychotherapist (and mom), this 4-week program will arm you with critical information and wisdom about the emotional transition into motherhood. You will be empowered with proven tools and resources to manage motherhood’s big feelings (and thoughts) with grace, flexibility and self-compassion.  Plus, you will join an intimate cohort of mom peers—a built-in community that is essential for feeling understood and connected during this often lonely phase of early motherhood.

Elizabeth + Jack, 2021

I truly cannot wait to offer this program to you.

This particular program hits close to home, as a very ambitious mother myself, who has personally navigated this WILD road. Many of the lessons, insights, and tools in this program have transformed my own life and motherhood. I cannot wait to share them with you.

I know precisely what it feels like to be overwhelmed, disappointed, yet so in love with my children - the guilt and confusion that resulted.  I am literally obsessed with studying, training, contemplating, practicing, and working with this season of life. Women and mothers do no have sufficient supports, and I am dead-set on shifting htat.

If you’re a mom who is struggling to enjoy more moments, to feel more connected, or you want to use motherhood as a path toward self-reflection and growth, you’re in the right place.  I’d be honored to support you on this messy, weird journey of self-discovery.

With Lots of Love,

Elizabeth
